August 18, 2009Brendon started official practices last week, and this past weekend was the first scrimmage. This week will be their first “real” scrimmage against another team: Langham Creek. Langham Creek is a good team and pretty tough, so it should be a good indicator of where Klein-Collins is, and how hard they have to work.
As for Brendon, he has lost so much weight over the summer and has gotten so fast on the field that for a while, Sherry and I couldn’t find him. We didn’t recognize our own son.
We are anxiously looking forward to this season and watching Brendon play. He does enjoy it, and works very hard at getting better, learning the plays, and helping others on the Line. He’s mostly on the offensive line, but he enjoys playing defense (in all but his first year of football, he’s always played both on 1st string).
Holy cow! Is that Brendon??? I can’t believe it! He is sooooo big and grown up.
